The Basics and Hacks of Washing Dishes.
Hand washing the plates is a total headache especially if the dishes has already piled up in the sink, caked with grease and grime! The Indonesian maid or Filipino maid might agree that, sometimes, hand washing alone can eat up a lot of time intended for other chores.
Eden Grace Maids Agency would like to help your maid in doing this task through these tips and hacks. Washing dishes doesn’t have to be this hard! Pass the wisdom to your Singapore maid today.
1. Soak the stubborn gunk and stains.
Be patient! Soaking the utensils for some time can solve most of the problem. For the Indo maid or Filipino maid to save time, let her soak the pan or pot after cooking or while the family is eating dinner. That way, she can wash away gunk and stains easily later.
2. Clean the cleanest utensils first.
Sometimes, the Indonesian maid or Filipino maid needs to take out a spoon to stir the stew or a plate to place those fresh veggies. These slightly used utensils must be washed first before anything else.
Filipino maids and Indo maids, take note:
The proper order of washing utensils is glasses first, then cutlery, spoons and forks, plates, and lastly, pots and pans.
3. Wash glasses first or separately from anything greasy.
You wouldn’t like your glassware to turn oily after washing it, would you? The grease doesn’t just make it gross, it blurs the glass. To wash your Bordeaux and Burgundy glasses, the Indo maid or Filipino maid must always remember to prepare a basin of warm water, not too hot since it may break or crack the glass.
4. Don’t store away wet utensils. Dry it always to avoid mildew.
The Indo maid or Filipino maid must always make sure that the dishes are completely dry. According to the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, moist dishes encourages the growth of bacteria. It may cause the family harm!
5. Don’t pile dirty dishes in the sink.
So where will the Indo maid or Filipino maid put it? Get a handy basin and has a lid, if possible, to store it near the sink. Let the sink be free of anything so family members can use it properly.
1. Clean burnt pan with baking soda and vinegar.
The Indonesian maid or Filipino maid should fill the bottom of the pan with water and a cup of vinegar. Then, she must boil it to soften the stains of the burnt pan. When the mixture reached the boiling point, the Indo maid or Filipino maid can remove the pan from the fire and add 2 spoons of baking soda then, scrub away!
2. Blender water and soap to clean the blender.
Cylindrical utensils are the hardest to wash, especially when it has sharp blades at the bottom. The Indo maid or Filipino maid can wash it clean easily in just 45 seconds! Just pour some tap water in it and add a drop of your mild liquid dish soap. After that, put the lid and turn on the blender to let it clean itself for 10 seconds. When it’s done, you can now rinse the inside of the blender using another generous pour of hot or warm water!
3. Keep sponges dry with the help of a binder clip.
Just clip the end of the sponge with a binder clip then let it stand to dry. The Indonesian maid or Filipino maid must also see to it that the sponge is replaced at least once every 1 to 2 weeks.
4. Cold water will wash away starches and dairy.
Did the baby just ate a bowl of a starchy oatmeal? To avoid gumming up, the Indo maid or Filipino maid must wash it with cold water instead of hot water.
