Filipino Maid and Indonesian Maid– 5 Appliances and Your Common Mistakes When Using Them
There are warnings and tips that the appliance saleslady didn’t tell us. Most of the commonly committed mistakes of every appliance user destroy and abuse the machines. Our electrical gadgets and machines have limitations and weaknesses. Check what are these:
Your fridge remains open even if you just closed it and it forces the fridge to use more electricity to keep the inside cool. How can that be? Your gasket, the rubber seal around the door, is dirty. Not de-griming the gasket would cause it to be gunked up with food and liquid spills and that prevents the fridge door to complete and airtight seal. Regularly clean the gasket with soap and warm water regularly. Check your gasket for cracks, warps, and tears and immediately replace it if you see some.
Your vacuum’s number 1 enemy is human and animal hair. It gathers up around the rollers, flattens the brushes and jams the turning mechanism. Because of this, the vacuum can now barely pull in the debris on the floor and threatens the life of the agitator belt. Remove the strands from the brush roller by scissors or seam ripper to keep vacuums always effective.
Most people are too lazy to change the factory settings of a television. If you are using one brand-new TV without calibrating it, you are probably not getting the best picture quality. You can adjust variables like color and brightness to avoid eye problems.
4. Hair Dryer
Users often wind the cord tightly around the dryer when on use but it usually stresses the electrical wiring. Kinked wires can spark over time and damage your dryer. Let the cord hang free everytime you use it.
5. Washing Machines
When unused, let the door of the machine be open. Shutting it between loads can cause moisture to be trapped inside the drum and the door seal. The result: A damp, dark atmosphere that can result in a musty smell or mold. To make the machine dry faster, always wipe the door and the inside with dry rag after each use.
